About Metro and the Capital Delivery Section
King County Metro is a national transit leader that provides safe, secure, and reliable transit options throughout the region. We are leading the way as one of the largest transit agencies in the country working toward a 100% zero-emissions fleet by 2035. Regionally King County Metro was recognized by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) as Washington state’s Public Agency of the Year for 2023 for our commitment to equity and service. Transit capital project managers lead the design and delivery of a wide array of project types that advance these goals. We get things built by employing standard processes, tools and a strategic commitment to deep collaboration and innovation, in support of delivering a diverse portfolio of high quality, transit infrastructure projects.
Transit Capital Project Managers (TCPMs) collaborate across Metro’s capital division, the Metro organization and beyond to deliver a portfolio of non-routine, complex or high-risk transit capital projects from project initiation to close out. Transit Capital Project Managers oversee all aspects of scope, schedule, and budget for cost and schedule, and resolution of issues that pertain to successful project delivery. Our ideal candidate values collaboration, is attentive to detail, has a strong project completion track record and is comfortable working within a highly operational public works agency. Individuals interested in joining the Metro Capital Delivery team must be committed to racial, social and economic equality for ALL people in King County. We welcome applications from people who will help us consistently demonstrate the values of equity, respect, and partnership.
