Gas line repair underway on Southeast 35th Place near East Mercer Way
Puget Sound Energy and emergency services on site; temporary road closures in area

This morning, crews installing a pipeline on site hit a gas line on Southeast 35th Place near East Mercer Way. Emergency services have been at the scene. Eastbound and westbound I-90 offramps to East Mercer Way (Exit 8) have been temporarily closed. There are no reported injuries. Several residents who were evacuated are able to return home.
Puget Sound Energy is on site and beginning repairs. Driving access to homes may be limited as repairs are made. We will provide an update once we learn more.
