King County completed its largest-ever floodplain restoration project, improving salmon habitat and protecting farms, homes and roads along the Snoqualmie River. Metro receives equity & sustainability award |
The RapidRide H Line has been recognized with the Envision Platinum Award for its equity and sustainability improvements. King County Metro worked with communities along the route on improvements to make riding transit safer and easier, resulting in better sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting and bus stations.
Fun fact: bus shelters were designed to minimize maintenance and water use with smooth glass roofs and drought tolerant plants.
