Vehicle access will be limited during grinding and paving:
Last fall crews paved the top section of 90th Pl S.E. down to the intersection with 89th Pl S.E. Crews have been working at the top of the cul-de-sac to install below ground odor control and maintenance hole structures.
In the coming weeks, crews will complete paving along the bottom section of the road. Paving activities are planned to begin as early as May 7. To prepare for paving, crews will grind the roadway. Grinding should take one day, planned for May 7. Next, crews will pave the roadway. Paving is expected to last approximately one day. Paving is planned for May 8, with May 9 as a backup day.
During grinding and paving, driving to homes on 90th Pl S.E. and 89th Pl S.E. will be very limited. King County’s contractor plans to designate an area on nearby roads where residents can park during grinding and paving. Crews will walk residents up and down the street to access their homes.
We will send an update with more details next week.
