Committee Briefing – Wednesday, March 6
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will hold a briefing on the Executive's transmitted 2024 Comprehensive Plan on Wednesday, March 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be in a hybrid format; public comment will be accepted submitted in writing, in person in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA, or through the Zoom webinar. Information on how to participate in Committee meetings is available on the Committee website.
The 2024 Comprehensive plan is items 5, 6, and 7 on the Committee agenda, and will include a discussion of:
- Chapter 4, Housing and Human Services
- Housing Needs Assessment Appendix
A written staff report is now available on the Council's website.
Special Committee Meeting – Thursday, March 7
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will hold a special meeting on the 2024 Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, March 7. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Riverview Educational Service Center, 15510 1st Ave NE, Duvall, WA 98019. This meeting will only allow for in-person participation; written and verbal public comment will be accepted.
Schedule Update
The Council's review and adoption schedule has been updated. The May 1, 2024 Local Services and Land Use Committee meeting has been cancelled. Instead, the April 17th, 2024 Committee meeting will start at 9 a.m. You can view the most up-to-date schedule at: kingcounty.gov/CouncilCompPlan.

Written comments on the proposed plan are welcome at any time during the Council’s review. Comments can be submitted electronically by emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov.
