The Assessment, Policy Development, & Evaluation (APDE) of the Health Sciences Division of Public Health | Seattle & King County is seeking a Temporary BSK (Best Starts for Kids) Data Team Intern III to join our team and help support the Family Ways program!

This position will support evaluation for the Family Ways program, primarily focusing on understanding how Family Ways develops and sustains community-rooted partnerships.
Family Ways defines community-rooted partnerships as ongoing partnerships with community-based organizations, community leaders, and advocates to inform the work of Family Ways and provide participant-centered feedback.
The Assessment, Policy Development, & Evaluation (APDE) unit in the Health Sciences Division of PHSKC. APDE is a nationally recognized leader in community health assessment; providing health assessment data and analysis to inform planning, policies, and actions; and developing innovative interventions to improve the health of King County residents. Additionally, Family Ways is a Public Health – Seattle & King County program that provides culturally relevant, participant-centered, and strengths-based health education, social supports, and connections to community resources for pregnant persons, parenting families and children up to age five who identify as Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaska Native, or African American.

This position will be a hybrid position with most of the candidate's time spent virtually. However, the intern will be required to attend in person activities and events.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.
Work Schedule:
The intern will be working part-time 20 hours a week. Hours will vary between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
