Committee Briefing – Wednesday, January 17
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will hold a briefing on the Executive's transmitted 2025 Comprehensive Plan on Wednesday, January 17th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be in a hybrid format; public comment will be accepted submitted in writing, in person in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA, or through the Zoom webinar. Information on how to participate in Committee meetings is available on the Committee website.
The 2024 Comprehensive plan is items 8, 9, 10, and 11 on the Committee agenda, and will cover the following topics:
- Staff Overview, Schedule, Process presentation
- Presentation by the Equity Work Group
- Discussion on:
- Snoqualmie Valley/Northeast King County Subarea Plan
- Vashon-Maury Island Subarea Plan changes
- Chapter 11: Community Service Area Subarea Planning
- Map Amendments
- Equity Analysis Summary
A written staff report will be provided and will be posted to the website when it is available.
Special Committee Meeting – Thursday January 18
The Council's Local Services and Land Use Committee will hold a special meeting on the 2024 Comprehensive Plan, and the associated Draft Environmental Impact Statement, on Thursday, January 18th. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in a hybrid format; public comment will be accepted submitted in writing, in person in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA, or through the Zoom webinar. Public Comment Opportunities
Written comments on the proposed plan are welcome at any time during the Council’s review. Comments can be submitted electronically by emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov. The Council looks forward to your involvement in the review of the proposed 2024 Comprehensive Plan.
