King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking to hire one Career Service IT Project Manager II to help transform and modernize King County. A King County IT project manager drives technology-based operational or capital projects across a variety or initiatives within the King County portfolio.
As an IT Project Manager II, you will collaborate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including other project managers, agencies and senior executives. You will work with other leaders in the Project Management Organization to help define and drive the PMO strategy and vision, identify synergies with other organizations and be a champion of implementation for the PMO. Our objective is to deliver optimal customer experiences.
We are looking to fill three (3) positions out of this recruitment.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of remote work with onsite work as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

Work Schedule
The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but may require after hours work as needed. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
