Violence & Injury Prevention Program Manager II - Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP)

The Violence and Injury Prevention Unit (VIP) within the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP) Section of Public Health | Seattle & King County is seeking one full time, Career Service Project/ Program Manager II (Unintentional Injury Prevention & Traffic Safety Target Zero Project/Program Manager) to join our team!
 
This position is within a small but highly visible work unit. The position reports to the Violence and Injury Prevention (VIP) Project/Program Manager III (PPM III) within the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Section.  
   
Within the Violence and Injury Prevention Unit, this position is primarily responsible for traffic safety and water safety support in program planning, development, coordination, management, report and grant writing support, communication, and analysis activities. This position handles tasks independently and performs both routine and journey-level work. Routine work is performed with minimal direction and guidance, while more complex tasks and projects are performed under closer supervision of the PPM III and Project Director (PPM IV).
 
This position supports the goals of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, along with the King County Target Zero Traffic Safety Coalition and Public Health-Seattle & King County. This is part of the Statewide Target Zero Traffic Safety Task Force system funded primarily by the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC).

Work Schedule:
    
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  

The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly remotely; complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities.  Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
 
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
