Your Weekly Update on What's Happening at the King County Council

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This week, the King County Flood Control District Board of Supervisors unanimously passed its 2024 budget, providing $131 million in funding to critical flood protection projects across King County without increasing taxes.

In addition, this budget includes funding for two new capital projects in District 9: a culvert replacement under 186th Avenue SE in the community of May Valley in unincorporated King County near Renton, and a feasibility study of options to modify the Erickson Levee along the Cedar River in the City of Renton.

As Chair of the Flood Control District Board of Supervisors, I am proud that the District is working to increase protections against flooding for people and property in King County in a fiscally responsible manner.

All my best,

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Signature
