The East Lake Sammamish Trail (ELST) is now complete from Redmond to Issaquah. This 11-mile trail is a critical part of the 44-mile Locks to Lakes Corridor from Golden Gardens Park in Ballard to the shores of Lake Sammamish and beyond!
Join King County Parks, Centro Cultural Mexicano, and others Saturday, 10/7, to officially open the trail to walking, biking, running, and rolling.
It's a family-friendly event with free food, kid’s activities, music and more. Bring your bike for the banner break!
How to get there: It's a trail so come by bike, walk or carpool with a friend. Additional event parking can be found at our East Marymoor Parking lot, only 0.4-mile away.

We are pleased to announce 53 awards totaling nearly $30 million for the 2023 Aquatics Facilities, Parks Capital and Open Space, Open Space – River Corridors, and Healthy Communities and Park Fund (Tier 2).

Community Meeting for Improvements to Lake Geneva Park Saturday, 10/14
As part of the King County, Department of Local Services, Participatory Budget process, community members identified the need to provide additional recreational opportunities in the East Federal Way/Algona area and Lake Geneva Park was selected. We need your help with the design!
Share your thoughts and ask questions at a community meeting Sat, 10/14, 1 p.m., at the park. You also can fill out this survey by 10/20.

Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center Reopen with Improvements
For the past two years, crews have worked hard to do improvements during the annual end-of summer closures. The facility is more than 30 years old, and many systems need replacement or upgrades to keep the WKCAC serving athletes of all ages and abilities for decades to come.
