This year, we'll be watching Minions: The Rise of Gru! Seating opens at 7 PM and the movie starts at 8:35 PM. Grab some snacks and a low-backed chair and come join the fun!

Dunn announces $12,000 grant for substance use prevention in Enumclaw schools

I am pleased that King County is awarding $12,000 to support Thrive Clubs in the Enumclaw School District. Thrive Clubs are student-led programs that prevent and reduce substance use in middle and high schoolers.

We know that teenage substance use correlates with poor mental health, risk of addiction, and difficulty with school. Preventing drug use early on is key to helping kids grow into healthy and happy adults. Thank you to the Enumclaw Thrive Clubs for the fantastic, important work you do!

Traffic Alert: I-405 fully closed from Bellevue to Renton this weekend

From 10 PM on Friday, Aug. 18 to 5 AM on Monday, Aug. 21, both directions of I-405 will be fully closed between Sunset Boulevard in Renton (Exit 5) and Coal Creek Parkway in Bellevue (Exit 10). Signed detours will be in place. Plan for slower travel times on I-405 and longer waits along the detour routes.

Stage 2 burn ban issued for unincorporated King County

King County Fire Marshal Chris Ricketts has issued a Stage 2 burn ban for unincorporated King County. The ban prohibits all outdoor recreational fires. Outdoor cooking and heating appliances are restricted to approved manufactured gas and charcoal units only.
