Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Current ballot counts show that King County is still on track to hit its projected 35% voter turnout. Check out detailed ballot return data here. For election night results posting, tonight at approximately 8:15 p.m., King County Elections anticipates 247,000 ballots in the count.
Remember that two King County Council primary elections are on the ballot — one for District 4 (my seat) and the other for District 8 (Councilmember Joe McDermott’s) — as we’re retiring. Be sure to have a say in your local representation.
If you haven’t yet returned your ballot or voted in-person, all Ballot Drop Boxes are open across the county. Voters have until 8:00 p.m. today to drop off their ballot. Voters who still need to register to vote or require other in-person assistance can come visit King County Elections at any of its Vote Center locations until 8:00 p.m. tonight. And if you need a replacement ballot, you can simply access your ballot online and print it at home. You can then return it to a drop box just like you usually would.
Lastly, be sure to track your ballot! Sign-up for ballot alerts and King County Elections will inform you of when your ballot has been mailed, when it’s been received, when the signature has been verified, and when it’s been counted. Following your ballot’s progress is an important step in making sure that your voice is heard.
All the best,
