Your Weekly Update on What's Happening at the King County Council  

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The local forecast is showing a potential for cold temperatures and light lowland snow on Saturday afternoon across the Puget Sound region, developing into a rain/snow mixture on Sunday. This on-and-off again lowland snow or lowland rain/snow mixture is expected to continue at times next week as well.

King County road crews are monitoring the forecast closely and preparing to treat unincorporated roads for snow and ice as needed.

In addition, emergency cold weather shelters are opening across King County for folks who need them. You can find an list of cold weather shelters here, which will be frequently updated.
