As your representative on the King County Council, I’m here to listen to you, have frank conversations about difficult issues, and work to find and implement real solutions that will make our community stronger. I work best when I know what’s on your mind.

I believe that King County should be a place where all residents have a safe and healthy place to live, educational and career opportunities, physical and mental health care, and a sustainable environment. As your representative on the County Council, as well as in my regional positions as President of the Puget Sound Regional Council, Board member at Sound Transit, and Chair of the multi-sector Affordable Housing Committee, here are some of the big issues I’ll be tackling in 2023:
-
Opening light rail on the Eastside ASAP. Since Sound Transit announced delays to a full opening of East Link, I’ve championed the possibility of an early opening for an East Link starter line connecting Redmond to Bellevue, while work continues on the connection between South Bellevue and Seattle.
-
Serving transit riders now by building King County Metro back from COVID-19 reductions so it serves existing and future riders better
- Helping people move from homelessness to housing by creating more affordable housing, opening Health through Housing sites on the Eastside, and providing badly needed emergency shelter
-
Improving public safety by building back staffing, increasing training and expanding oversight for the King County Sheriff’s Office
-
Combating the climate crisis by holding government accountable for meeting our greenhouse gas reduction targets and planning for resilience
If you have additional ideas, please take the District 6 Community Priorities Survey:

To determine your eligibility to participate in Metro’s research study, take this short screening survey. By completing the initial survey, you can enter for a chance to win one of ten $100 gift cards. If you are selected to participate in the research study, you will receive up to $150.
