View the Siting Advisory Group Meeting #9 - Nov. 2, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., via Zoom
In fall 2020, King County gathered an advisory group of 25 people to represent the interests of residents, communities, and businesses in Kirkland, Woodinville, and Redmond in the siting process. The public is welcome to join this virtual meeting and watch the advisory group do its work.
The scoping meetings provide opportunity for substantive formal comment, but not an opportunity for Q&A.

Join us at these upcoming EIS Scoping Public Input Opportunities
To meet the growing need for recycling and waste disposal services, and to support regional goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, King County's Solid Waste Division is planning a new modern transfer station in northeast King County. The new station will replace the aging Houghton Transfer Station in Kirkland, which is nearly 60 years old and lacks many services people want.
On Nov. 3, the scoping notice will be published and King County will offer in-person and virtual options for you to participate in the project’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) scoping process to evaluate three action alternatives with a no-action alternative for the new station. The meetings are an opportunity to learn more about the project, meet the project team, and make formal comments on the site alternatives that will be studied in the EIS. It is also your opportunity to tell us what is important to you, and what you think the project team should consider during our analysis.
