2024 Comprehensive Plan Update - Scope of Environmental Review

Determination of Significance and Request for Comments on
Scope of Environmental Impact Statement for 2024 King County Comprehensive Plan Update

Proposal: King County is proposing to review and update its Comprehensive Plan (Plan), consistent with the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA), Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapter 36.70A.  Material related to the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update are adopted in King County Council Motion 16142 which can be found at: https://kingcounty.gov/compplan/. 

Threshold Determination: King County has determined that this proposal has the potential to result in significant adverse impacts on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). An EIS will be prepared with alternatives determined through the scoping process according to WAC 197-11-440(5)(b).

Scope of Environmental Review: Materials related to the scope of the environmental review that are the subject of this advertisement can be found on the King County website at: https://kingcounty.gov/compplan/. 

Comment Procedures: Agencies, tribes, members of the public, and others are invited to comment on the scope of the EIS. You may comment on alternatives, mitigation measures, probable significant adverse impacts, and licenses or other approvals that may be required. Comments may be submitted as follows:
