Phase 2 of East Lake Sammamish Trail Closure Starts June 1

Construction of the second phase of a 1.9-mile East Lake Sammamish Trail segment between Pine Lake Creek and Inglewood Hill Road begins Wednesday, June 1. This portion of the trail will be closed starting June 1 and is expected to be complete in December 2023.

This work will complete the last unpaved section of the 11-mile East Lake Sammamish Trail (ELST), and the last unpaved section of the 44-mile King County Parks regional trail corridor connecting Seattle to the Eastside and Cascade Foothills.

Phase 1 of construction (the 1.7 mile section running from SE 33rd Street to Pine Lake Creek) will be complete at the end of 2022.
