Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I have an important update to share regarding King County's ongoing search for a new King County Sheriff.
As you may recall, in November 2020, voters approved Charter Amendment 5, which changed the King County Sheriff from an elected position to an appointed position.
Yesterday, Executive Dow Constantine announced his three candidates for the appointment: Patti Cole-Tindall, Interim Sheriff at the King County Sheriff’s Office; Charles Kimble, Chief of Police at the Killeen, Texas Police Department; and Reginald Moorman, Major at the Atlanta, Georgia Police Department. You can review each of the candidates' bios here.
King County has scheduled two virtual public forums to allow you to hear from the candidates, provide input, and ask any questions:
Sheriff Candidate Forum 1 Monday, April 18, 2022 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
