Your Update on What's Happening at the King County Council

SUD Conference

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I’m excited to announce our 2nd annual King County Conference on Substance Use Disorders will take place on Thursday, May 19th, from 10 AM – 4 PM. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend, and I hope to see you there. You can register online here.

This conference will be informative and encouraging, offering a chance for you to learn more about topics such as:

  • The status of substance use after two years of the pandemic
  • Fentanyl as a public health crisis
  • The implicit bias and stigma of addiction
  • The impact of addiction within the family
  • Stories of recovery and hope

When we first held this conference last year, I was amazed by the level of interest in the community. Over 200 attendees joined us to learn more about substance use disorders and connect with resources to help with recovery. As substance use continues to worsen during the pandemic, it is my deep hope that this conference will connect those who are seeking recovery with treatment and provide others with helpful knowledge about substance abuse.

I hope to see you there!

All my best,
