Holiday traffic reroute for route 271; transit service will be rerouted off NE 8th St between 100th Avenue NE and 108th Avenue NE in the downtown Bellevue area from Tuesday, Dec. 21 2:00 p.m. to Friday Dec. 24 at 9:00 p.m.;

Overnight construction reroute for route 165; transit service will be rerouted in both directions off of Kent Des Moines Rd between Pacific Hwy S and Military Rd S. from Monday, Dec. 20 10:00 p.m. to Friday Dec. 24 at 5:00 a.m.;

Overnight construction reroute for routes ST 542 and ST 545; transit service heading toward Redmond will not serve the stop on the SR 520 ramp at NE 51st St from Monday, Dec. 20 9:00 p.m. to Friday Dec. 24 at 6:00 a.m.;

Service Reminders
- Seahawks game kickoff at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 26. Expect significant congestion and delays for all traffic and transit service in the SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle and adjacent areas;
- We recommend customers arrive at their bus stop a few minutes before the scheduled departure time of their trip;

Fare free New Year’s Eve rides!
Riders can travel without paying fare on King County Metro, Sound Transit, Community Transit, Pierce Transit and Seattle Streetcar as part of their New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Masks are required on transit vehicles and while waiting for transit service.

King County Metro: Buses will operate on a Sunday schedule and be fare-free from 4 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve), through 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day).
- Other Metro services operating fare-free include DART, Via to Transit, Ride Pingo to Transit, Community Van and Access service. Via to Transit will operate until 2 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to accommodate New Year’s Eve celebrations.
- The fareboxes and ORCA card readers on Metro buses will be covered to remind customers not to pay.

Construction update for the RapidRide H line.
King County Metro, in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and the City of Burien, is working to upgrade Metro Bus Route 120 — one of our 10 busiest routes — to the RapidRide H Line.
Crews are installing safety improvements and bus station upgrades along the route. Work has already started or will begin in the coming weeks at the following locations in Seattle, White Center, and Burien.
