New COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
For the continued health and safety of our community, an Executive Order was issued last month that requires all King County contractors and volunteers working on-site to be fully vaccinated when performing work in-person, effective Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.
Below is information about this new policy and how it affects your valued participation in our King County Parks Volunteer Program.

What to except when participating in a Parks Volunteer Event
(The process for volunteers attending events may change as current situations evolve)
- Volunteers attending King County Parks staff-led events must wear a mask when within 6 feet of other volunteers, staff, or park visitors not in their household.
- All volunteers working in-person and on-site at a volunteer event are required to be fully vaccinated beginning, October 18, 2021.
- Be prepared to have your vaccination status verified each time that you volunteer.
- King County Parks staff will verify your vaccination status when you sign-in for your event.
- No data or images of your vaccination record card will be retained.
How to show proof of vaccination
- CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or photo of the card;
- Documentation of vaccination from a health care provider or electronic health record; State immunization information system record; or
- For an individual who was vaccinated outside of the United States, a reasonable equivalent of any of the above.
