Volunteer Program Update - OCT. 22, 2021

New COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

For the continued health and safety of our community, an Executive Order was issued last month that requires all King County contractors and volunteers working on-site to be fully vaccinated when performing work in-person, effective Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.

Below is information about this new policy and how it affects your valued participation in our King County Parks Volunteer Program.

  • Volunteers attending King County Parks staff-led events must wear a mask when within 6 feet of other volunteers, staff, or park visitors not in their household.
  • All volunteers working in-person and on-site at a volunteer event are required to be fully vaccinated beginning, October 18, 2021.

  • King County Parks staff will verify your vaccination status when you sign-in for your event.
  • No data or images of your vaccination record card will be retained.
