Thank you to everyone who helped make IRONMAN 70.3 Washington a success! After many years of planning and anticipation, the Maple Valley and surrounding communities were excited to host athletes and spectators from across the country and show them everything we have to offer. So many fantastic community leaders, volunteers, and organizations supported IRONMAN and made sure it went off without a hitch! I was glad to contribute to the endeavor by securing $25,000 in King County funding for traffic control, and trail fee waivers, in addition to assisting with permitting and coordination with the Roads Division.
