What's Happening?
SIP/SeaKing, the foundational application for DAJD which provides interfaces to almost all of their other systems, is scheduled to be superseded by the new Jail Management System on August 7.
As part of that launch, KCIT will also be launching the county's new login portal - LOGIN.KINGCOUNTY.GOV.
What does that mean?
Some applications will no longer be available and you may need to start using new versions of those applications.
Some applications will not change, however, you may need to use LOGIN.KINGCOUNTY.GOV to access those applications after August 7.
The new login portal is meant to reduce the number of logins King County staff and constituents need to access different King County applications by providing single sign-on functionality and by consolidating access to those applications into a single portal.
How does it affect me?
If you use PbK:
Expect the following changes:
- CCN (Computer Control Number), a number assigned to defendants the first time they are booked into a King County jail, will be replaced by a new, longer, number called a UCN (Unified Control Number).
- AFIS (fingerprint/identity) information will be automatically updated in PbK.
- Error messages will now appear when PbK encounters issues scheduling inmate movement.
- Documents from law enforcement referrals will now appear in a new folder in the documents tab called 'LE Docs Submitted'
Please refer to David Baker's email from August 2 for more detailed information about these changes.
Also be aware that inmate mugshots will stop appearing in PbK after August 7. A new system to deliver those mugshots to PbK is still in the works. You will be able to view inmate mugshots in JILS in the meantime.
If you run Criminal History checks:
For the time being, you will still be able to run criminal history checks the same way you're used to. There will, however, be a new way to run criminal history checks through a new application called 'Datamaxx'.
Be on the lookout for more information about Datamaxx in the near future.
If you use JILS (Jail Inmate Lookup Service):
You will no longer be able to access JILS through Ingress, or through js.kingcounty.gov/dajd/jils/, the link that's currently in the PAO Programs folder on your desktop.
After August 7, you can access JILS by either logging in to LOGIN.KINGCOUNTY.GOV and selecting Jail Inmate Lookup Service on your list of applications or by going directly to: https://dajd-jms.powerappsportals.us/
You will be able to login to JILS using your King County credentials, the same one you use to login to Outlook. The link on the PAO Programs folder will be updated.
If you use the Search Warrant Resource Center:
You will still be able to access the Search Warrant Resource Center through Ingress. After August 7, will also be able to access it through LOGIN.KINGCOUNTY.GOV.
If you work with law enforcement referring cases to PAO:
Detectives will no longer be using eLODI to refer cases to the PAO. They will instead be using the new and improved PAO Case Info. PAO Case Info will still be accessed via Ingress.
