Trail bridge construction:
Aug - early October

Parks Taylor Bridge Construction Map

Coming soon: new trail bridges!

As part of our work at Taylor Mountain Forest to improve trail sustainability and protect habitat, King County Parks is starting construction on the first two of four replacement trail bridges.

This work was scheduled for later this year, but fortunately, the contractor was able to bump up the timeline, so you can expect to see construction crews mobilizing as soon as Monday, August 2nd!

The trails in the construction zone will be closed for the duration of the project. We will be constructing the bridges simultaneously, so the whole construction zone will be fenced off.

For your safety, we'll also close some trails just outside of the construction zone during active construction hours.

Work Hours
Mon - Fri
7 am - 7 pm

What to expect during construction

  • Trails in the construction zone are closed for the duration of the project.
  • Some trails will be closed during active construction work hours.
  • Regular construction vehicle traffic will circulate in the parking lot, on Road A, and within the construction zone.
  • Part of the parking lot will be used for staging (from approx. Aug 23 - Sept 15).

We anticipate that the project will be complete by early October.
