Update on Cedar Hills Fire

Your Update on What's Happening at the King County Council  

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Since yesterday, fire crews have been battling a 30-acre brush fire near Cedar Hills and Maple Hills in a wooded, unincorporated area south of Issaquah. As of this morning, the fire is not spreading and there are no longer open flames. The firefighters will remain on site to finish containing the fire and make sure homes in the vicinity stay safe.

Cooling Centers Provide Relief from Heat Wave

As the heat wave subsides, I’d like to extend a big THANK YOU to all the public and private organizations across King County that opened their doors to help folks escape the extreme temperatures this week. Mayor Jeff Wagner and I were able to stop by the City of Covington cooling center to enjoy the AC for a bit!

Dunn Delivers County Grant for Johnny Lazor Hobart Field Improvements

I recently met with Maple Valley Mayor Sean Kelly, Andrea Gott of Maple Valley Pony League Baseball, and community member Warren Iverson to discuss ways to improve parking at Johnny Lazor Hobart Ball Field. I was happy to help deliver a Youth and Amateur Sports grant as seed money for new investments to make the park more usable for ball players and their families.
