There will be two state level briefings to tune into tomorrow on June 9th—one at 8:15 a.m. from the WA State Department of Health and another at 3:30 p.m. from Governor Jay Inslee.
The WA State Dept. of Health will hold a briefing at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9. Speakers may include Umair Shah, MD, MPH, Secretary of Health; Scott Lindquist, MD, MPH, Acting State Health Officer; Lacy Fehrenbach, MPH, CPH, Deputy Secretary for COVID-19 Response; Michele Roberts, MPH, MCHES, Acting Assistant Secretary; and Brian Haight, Compliance Manager for WA State Dept. of Labor and Industries.

Gov. Jay Inslee will also hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday to announce the new Employment Security Department commissioner and provide an update on the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He will be joined by Lacy Fehrenbach, deputy director for COVID-19 response for the Department of Health, Nick Streuli, executive director for external affairs for the Office of the Governor, and the new commissioner.
