City of Seattle proclaims Monday, May 24, 2021 Patty Hayes Day 

Honoring years of service and leadership, the City of Seattle issued a proclamation declaring Monday, May 24, 2021 to be Patty Hayes Day:


Due to network issues, the Daily COVID-19 outbreak summary dashboard update for 5/24/21 is delayed and may be canceled. We expect the normal schedule to resume 5/25/21. The data below is updated as of 5/22/21 at 11 am.

  • Total positive counts in King County: 108,308 (New counts since 5/21/21: 205 at overall 4.4% of all tests)
    • Confirmed: 103,831 (New counts since 5/21/21: 203)
    • Probable: 4,477 (New counts since 5/21/21: 2)

  • Hospitalizations: 6,099
    • New hospitalizations since 5/21/21: 18 at 5.6% of all positive cases

  • Deaths due to COVID-19 illness: 1,575
    • New deaths since 5/21/21: 2 at 1.5% of all positive cases

  • All PCR test results: 2,398,670
    • Overall new since 5/21/21: 10,647

  • People tested by PCR: 1,087,290
    • Overall new since 5/21/21: 3,616
