Construction for a fully paved East Lake Sammamish Trail begins June 1

South Sammamish B, Phase 1 closed through December 2022

Safety is King County’s top priority. To maintain safety and expedite construction, trail sections will be closed during construction.

On Tuesday, June 1, King County Parks is closing the trail corridor for 1.75 miles from SE 33rd Street to the Mint Grove Driveway during Phase 1 of construction (see map).

South Sammamish Segment B is the last unpaved segment in the 11-mile East Lake Sammamish Trail (ELST), and the 44-mile regional trail corridor connecting Seattle to the Eastside and the Cascade Foothills via the Burke-Gilman, Sammamish River, Marymoor Connector, ELST, and Issaquah-Preston trails.
