Lake Loop Trail Construction in Bellevue

Detours 4/26 to 5/4, closure 5/5 to 5/6

From April 26 to May 4, the Lake Washington Loop Trail will be temporarily re-routed near Coal Creek Parkway to allow crews to build the connection between the future Eastrail and the existing Bellevue bike network. From May 5 to May 6, the Loop Trail will be closed from Lake Washington Blvd SE to Coal Creek Parkway with no detour available. The Lake WA Loop trail will re-open Friday morning May 7.

This closure is required to build the connection between Coal Creek Parkway and the new paved Eastrail which parallels the current Lake Loop trail. As part of the I-405 Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project, the Lake Loop trail will be permanently closed and replaced by the Eastrail. The exact date for this permanent closure has not been determined.
