Calling all King County nonprofit employees! Help us build a stronger nonprofit community in King County by participating in a King County Nonprofit Employee Engagement Survey. Funded through the King County Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) and administered by our partner 501 Commons, the survey asks questions relating to non-wage benefits and other items that contribute to employee job satisfaction. All responses will be confidential and the aggregate results of the survey will be provided to nonprofits as a free community resource, helping nonprofits understand factors that contribute to successful employee recruitment, retention and satisfaction in the nonprofit sector.
The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The survey is available in 10 languages: Amharic, Arabic, English, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
Participation is open to all salaried employees of King County-based and/or King County-serving nongovernmental, nonprofit entities. Unpaid volunteers, interns, contractors, and board members are not eligible to participate in the Employee Engagement Survey.
Take the Employee Engagement Survey now and share the survey link with your colleagues and organization.
There is still time to complete the King County Nonprofit Wage & Benefits Survey!
Participation is open to all King County-based and/or King County-serving nongovernmental, nonprofit entities. One employee from each nonprofit should complete the Wage & Benefits Survey. The employee should be familiar with compensation and benefits such as an Executive Director, Human Resources staff or a Finance Manager.
VSHSL-funded providers are required to complete the Wage & Benefits Survey.

Congratulations to the following partnerships and single organizations that are newly awarded under the Countywide Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Commercial Sexual Exploitation Prevention Pilot VSHSL strategy!
Our new community organization partners are funded to create a network of domestic and sexual violence programs that develop and implement in-depth, multi-level, coordinated prevention and community engagement strategies tailored to geographically and culturally diverse communities across King County. This network of funded providers will strengthen culturally specific programs working to change the conditions that lead to domestic and sexual violence.

This year VSHSL will offer a series of virtual panel discussions exclusively for leadership and appropriate board members of VSHSL-funded organizations! Plans are underway to assemble subject matter experts from our technical assistance and capacity building cohort for panel discussions on various topics to help provide leaders of our funded partners with tools and strategies to lead and grow their organizations. Following each panel discussion there will be time for Q&A and networking among participants. Some topics may include, communication, data, fundraising, grant writing and volunteer recruitment.
What topics would you like to hear about? Please send panel discussion topic suggestions to Anne Masters, anne.masters@kingcounty.gov by May 7, 2021.
