On April 9th, in his weekly press briefing, Health Officer Dr. Jeff Duchin addresses the continued high COVID-19 case count in King County, as well as efforts to equitably distribute COVID-19 vaccines.

We encourage you to use the data to plan a community vaccine event or another type of outreach to reach communities with lower vaccination rates.

    • New counts since yesterday: 219 at overall 4.2% of all tests

  • Total hospitalizations in King County: 5,444
    • New hospitalizations since yesterday: 15 at 6.0% of all positive cases

  • Total deaths due to COVID-19 illness in King County: 1,483
    • New deaths since yesterday: 2 at 1.6% of all positive cases

  • Total count of all test results: 2,181,757
    • New test results since yesterday: 5,711

  • Total count of people tested in King County: 990,088
    • New count of people tested since yesterday: 1,476
