Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Two COVID-19-related updates and media events are happening in a few hours, and both can be viewed live by the public.
First, Public Health Officer Dr. Jeff Duchin will brief the public and take questions from reporters today at noon. He also will provide updates on trends in COVID-19 cases and share the latest information on COVID vaccination efforts. The public can view the press conference live at http://facebook.com/KCPubHealth
Then at 1 p.m., Gov. Inslee will sign several COVID-19 relief bills, followed by a press conference. He will sign several bills, including HB 1368, which distributes $2.2 billion in federal COVID-19 relief funding for K-12 public schools, public health, health care, assistance to individuals and families, housing assistance, and business assistance.
The Governor’s bill signing will be followed by a press conference, both of which will be streamed live here beginning at 1pm.
