Please join us for a virtual Community Planning Session to help inform an upcoming funding opportunity: Remote Access from Rural Food Banks Pilot.
This strategy seeks to improve access to services for individuals in rural areas through rural food banks that will operate as centralized points of access from which residents may increase knowledge about what human services may be available to meet their needs, connect to service providers and/or potentially receive direct support or assistance at this centralized location.
The Community Planning Session will be held on Tuesday, March 2 from 2:30 – 4:30pm on Zoom. To learn more and register.

VSHSL recently awarded funding to new partners under the strategy Caregiver Respite for Caregivers of Persons with Disabilities. Korean Women’s Association, Open Doors for Multicultural Families, Tavon Learning Center and Urban Family will provide respite programming to reduce the stress of unpaid caregivers, which will in turn bolster the strength of these supportive relationships and improve quality of life for the whole family, supporting them to remain stable and comfortable long term. Congratulations!
