Dunn Delivers Funding for Emergency Services in Renton
Councilmember Reagan Dunn presents a check to Renton Mayor Armondo Pavone
I recently met with Renton Mayor Armondo Pavone to present a check for funding to support Renton area residents who are struggling during COVID-19. As families and individuals alike continue to experience great need, one of my top priorities is expanding the provision of emergency assistance.
These dollars will be put to use to further the work of two organizations within Renton: Sustainable Renton, which provides a drive-thru grocery store every Monday in the Renton Highlands; and Communities in Schools (CISR) Renton, which supports families affected by COVID-19 with emergency needs such as food gift cards, rent and utility assistance, and cell phone and internet access.
Youth Sports Grant Applications Due January 27
Youth Sports Grants (YSG) support fit and healthy communities by investing in programs and capital facility projects that increase access to sports, play, and outdoor recreation for youth who are furthest from play equity. Funding is designed to address barriers impacting youth access such as costs, transportation, infrastructure, and program quality.
If you represent a youth sports organization that is interested in applying for a Youth Sports Grant, please contact my office for more information!
