This position is a member of the Public Health – Seattle & King County COVID-19 Downtown Public Health Team which is responsible for providing COVID-19 testing for people who are at high risk for severe illness from the disease and are not able to access testing at a hospital or their own clinic.
The position is responsible for administrative tasks providing specialized technical, COVID program-specific information that requires limited interpretation of established policies, procedures and other relevant sources to internal and/or external customers over the telephone, in writing and/or in person. This position is based at the Downtown Public Health Center in (Belltown) Seattle. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. The position reports to the COVID Public Health Service Supervisor (PHSS).
Some employees may have to deal with sensitive and/or potentially volatile situations. This position is responsible for safely performing a variety of skilled work including distributing materials throughout multiple floors within Downtown Public Health Center. This position(s) will also perform support activities for multiple disciplines in high volume COVID Testing healthcare setting as part of Downtown Public Health Center
This position is expected to last through June 30, 2021, with a possiblity of extension.
Who May Apply: This position is open to all qualified internal and external candidates. To be considered as a Special Duty applicant, you must be a current Career Service, King County employee who has successfully passed probation.
Work Location: This position will primarily work at the Downtown Public Health Center located at 2124 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA. As needed, the position may be deployed to other Public Health Centers and sites throughout King County.
