COVID-19 vaccine Frequently Asked Questions now available in 16 languages

As more common questions come in through our Coronavirus Call Center, these FAQs will be updated over time with new and relevant information. The English version currently has 2 more questions than the translated FAQs due to an increased volume of public queries about vaccine and we expect another update soon.


As cases surge, first free high-volume COVID-19 test site comes to King County’s Eastside, Public Health news release

A new free COVID-19 test site will open at Bellevue College on Tuesday, December 15. This site will expand COVID-19 testing on the Eastside and complement existing free test sites already in operation in Renton, Auburn, Tukwila, Federal Way, Des Moines, and Enumclaw. Temporary Food Establishment Closure in King County: Blue Nile Restaurant in Seattle

Blue Nile Restaurant located at 7821 Rainier Ave S, Seattle 98118 was closed by a Public Health food inspector on December 11, 2020 due to COVID-19 violations as follows:

  • Providing indoor dining
  • Bar service
  • Customers not following face covering mandate

The establishment will be allowed to reopen once the inspector confirms that these issues have been resolved. The Food Establishment Closures homepage is at www.kingcounty.gov/closures

*11-24-20: On November 21, the WA State Department of Health paused reporting on negative laboratory results. Data on test results, people tested, and test positivity has been frozen on this dashboard through November 21. Data on positive cases, hospitalizations, and deaths will continue to be updated on a daily basis.

***As of November 21st, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) asked laboratories to temporarily stop sending individual negative COVID-19 test results to the state. DOH has been working on a backlog of data. Until data on total tests and percent positive is complete, we will present data from the testing sites sponsored by the City of Seattle and Public Health Seattle-King County. Testing from these select sites represent 25-30% of all testing for residents in King County, but provide some information on positivity. From Nov 21 – Dec 8, 111,321 PCR tests were collected across these sites. Of these tests, 10,040 (9.0%) tested positive.
