There is an urgent need to expand testing capacity across South King County and other areas of need in King County.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we are looking to fill one Program Manager (Project/Program Manager IV) position in the Community Health Services Division to work for 6-12 months to support set up, maintain, and oversee the operations in our COVID-19 Testing Program.
High-volume COVID-19 testing sites have proven to be a customer friendly/cost effective method for achieving community testing. Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) is collaborating with a variety of local area organizations to ensure a sufficient number of high-volume sites are in operation, particularly in areas of need like South King County. These sites are expected to be open six (6) days per week and to operate at least eight (8) hours per day. Public Health is working with healthcare partners to develop multiple medium- and high-volume testing sites in King County. In addition, Public Health will contract with multiple laboratories.
The individual to fill this position will work closely with King County’s COVID-19 testing strategy and program leadership, program staff, site management teams, and partners to assure testing sites are operating as designed. This position will supervise program staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing and implementing complex program strategies. In addition, the individual will lead and be part of a community of practice to share information, learnings, best practices, and challenges across sites.

WHO MAY APPLY:
This is a 6-12 month assignment. The position is open to external candidates as a Term-Limited Temporary assignment, and open to King County Career Service employees as a Special Duty assignment. To be considered for a Special Duty, you must be a current King County Career Service employee who has successfully passed probation.WORK LOCATION:
This position will work at any of up to six (6) COVID testing sites- located throughout King County, the Chinook Building- located at 401 5th Ave in Seattle, or telecommute. Work location will vary depending on program need.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is full-time and Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and is not overtime eligible. Evening and weekend work will be required, and some driving will be required. Workdays and hours will be determined at time of hire, may vary based on business needs, and may require weekend hours.
