Dear Friends and Neighbors,
19 years ago today, 3,000 Americans were killed in an act of horrific terrorism against our country and the democratic values we embody. On September 11, 2001, I was sitting in a plane on the tarmac at Reagan National Airport when the hijacked Flight 11 hit the Pentagon. I was hugely impacted by both the tragedy and heroism I witnessed that day.
I hope that on this somber anniversary, we will unite as a nation as we remember and honor the heroes we lost.
May we never forget.
