Many arts, cultural and science organizations call District 6 home. They're just one of the many reasons that the Eastside is such a great place to live.
During these challenging times we must work to provide support to those same organizations suffering under the strain of COVID-19 so they can continue to give back and enrich our communities.
Earlier this year the King County Council allocated Federal CARES Act funds to support organizations across King County to enable them to operate, provide jobs, and also take the necessary public health precautions during the pandemic. I'm pleased to report that the following Eastside organizations have now received County awards:
- Bellevue Arts Museum: $15,000
- Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra: $15,000
- Centro Cultural Mexicano: $15,000
- Eastside Heritage Center: $10,000
- KidsQuest Children’s Museum: $15,000
- Kirkland Arts Center: $10,000
- Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra: $10,000
- Youth Theatre Northwest: $15,000
- 21 Acres Center for Local Food & Sustainable Living: $7,500

Time is Running Out to Complete the Census!
This is our last chance to take the 2020 census and for you to make an impact and shape our community's future for the next 10 years. If King County is under-counted, we will not have a fair and full voice in policy and decision-making.
The census count also helps decide how funding is distributed where it’s needed for the next ten years—for critical services and investments including our schools, affordable housing, hospitals, and public transportation.
Visit 2020Census.gov to complete the census online or call 844-330-2020 >>>

Please forward this email widely and invite others to sign-up to my email updates to receive important and timely information for District 6 constituents.
Sincerely,
