Metro Transit Alert - Weekend Trolley Motorization

On Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21, all Metro trolley routes will be motorized in order to maintain service and to operate safely during construction or events in Metro’s trolley service areas.

Route 47 is canceled until further notice, and other trolley routes may have service reductions as a result of Metro's response to changing operating conditions during the COVID-19 outbreak.

During the weekend of June 20-21, planned or unexpected civic activities may disrupt traffic and transit service in the downtown Seattle and surrounding areas.  Transit riders should watch media reports, be aware of conditions in areas in which they are traveling, have an alternate route or stop in mind and allow plenty of time for their travel.

Metro has implemented coach capacity guidelines that could result in longer waits for some riders.  Be sure to allow plenty of time for your trip.

In accordance with King County public health directives and guidelines and for the safety of all transit riders and employees:

  • Please wear a mask or face covering in public places, on transit vehicles and at transit stops. Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Board and exit buses through the back door if possible.
  • Maintain 6 feet of distance from others.
  • Observe and abide by signs and decals.

Thank you for following health and safety guidelines.
