We are excited to announce that the construction of 2.5 miles of paved Eastrail (south of I-90) is starting. On June 29, the first section of trail (Ripley Lane North to Hazelwood Lane Southeast) will be closed until mid-September. The Lake Washington Loop Trail, which is parallel to this section will remain open. The new, wider trail will offer more space between people walking and biking, and replace sections of the Lake Washington Loop Trail that will be removed during future I-405 construction.
Future trail design - Online open house
Starting today an online open house is available for you to learn more about the final design for this 2.5 miles of paved trail. You can also find information about what to expect during the construction process. This open house is available until July 1.
