Dear Friends,
I hope you will take a minute to read my Seattle Times op-ed on Head Tax 2.0.
A bill currently being heard in the Washington State Legislature would create a pathway for King County to impose a countywide business tax on wages without a vote of the people.
If HB 2907 passes, it could negatively impact King County jobs and wages. Head Tax 2.0 would hurt small businesses--the lifeblood of our local economy--and create yet another disincentive for new employers to locate here.
I will continue to track this legislation's progress in Olympia and fight it here in King County.
