Your Update on What's Happening at the King County Council

Council meeting

Dear Friends:

This week the King County Council held its first meeting of 2020, where I was unanimously elected to serve another term as Vice Chair of the Council. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues, and I look forward to helping to lead the Council in the coming year.

As Vice Chair, I will focus on to broadening the Council’s collaboration with suburban and rural areas as we work together for regional solutions. I view this role as a deep honor and responsibility, and I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work!

In addition to my leadership position, I will be serving on committees that work on some of the most critical issues of our region, including criminal justice, affordable housing, wastewater treatment, and rural and unincorporated services. In the coming year, I’ll fill the following roles:

As I reflect on the legislative session before us, I’m invigorated by both the challenges and the possibilities that the new year brings. It's a privilege to represent the people of District 9, and I'll continue to work hard for your benefit here at the King County Council.

Sincerely,

Signature
