King County Council review of 2020 Comprehensive Plan Update and October 15 Briefing
Thank you for your interest in the King County Comprehensive Plan. On September 30, 2019, the King County Executive transmitted to the King County Council the proposed 2020 update to the 2016 King County Comprehensive Plan as Proposed Ordinance 2019-0413. The 2020 update is a midpoint update that is limited to the scope of work adopted in Motion 15329. The 2020 update includes consideration of the Skyway-West Hill CSA Subarea Plan.
The legislation has been referred to the Mobility and Environment Committee for review over the next several months for potential amendment and recommendation, with final adoption by the full Council anticipated in June 2020.
On Tuesday, October 15, the King County Council's Mobility and Environment Committee will receive a briefing on the Executive's proposed 2020 update to the King County Comprehensive Plan (Proposed Ordinance 2019-0413). The committee meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA. If you are not able to attend the meeting in person, it can be viewed live on KCTV cable channel 22 or online.
This legislation is listed as item #7 on the committee agenda. A written staff report for the briefing will be posted to the Council's Comprehensive Plan website prior to the committee meeting. At this committee briefing, Council staff will share the tentative review schedule with the Committee, and Executive staff will review the proposed Skyway-West Hill CSA Subarea Plan.

This website will be periodically updated as new information and materials become available. News, schedule updates, public comment opportunities, and meeting notices related to the 2020 Comprehensive Plan will also be distributed to this email list throughout the process.
