Countywide and Eastside organizations receive King County & philanthropic support to remove barriers to voting

Last week the King County Elections Voter Education Fund awarded grants to 39 organizations to promote civic engagement and remove barriers to voting across King County.

The Voter Education Fund, a partnership between King County Elections and the Seattle Foundation, supports organizations that work to improve voting access for communities that have historically been left out of such an important part of our democratic process.

Voting is a cornerstone of our democracy and I’m pleased that four Eastside organizations received grants to promote civic engagement and remove barriers to voting:

I’m excited to see the impact these organizations will have as they get more of our neighbors involved in upcoming elections.

Until next time,

Claudia Balducci
