May 1 briefing on 2018 Comprehensive Plan Update
On Tuesday, May 1, the King
County Council's Planning,
Rural Service and Environment Committee will receive a briefing on the
Executive's proposed 2018 update
to the 2016 King County Comprehensive Plan, which is a proposal to restructure
the County’s comprehensive planning and subarea planning program (Proposed
Ordinance 2018-0153). The committee
meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30
a.m. in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of
the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA. If you are not able to attend the meeting in
person, it can be viewed live on KCTV cable channel 22 or online.
The
legislation is listed as item #8 on
the committee agenda. A written staff report for the briefing will
be posted to the Council's Comprehensive Plan website
prior to the committee meeting.
There will be an
opportunity for public comment on the proposed plan update during the committee
meeting. Written comments
are also welcome at any time. Comments can be easily be submitted
electronically, by either emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov
or clicking on the “Contact Us” button on the home page of the
Comprehensive Plan website.
