Julia Yagelowich is a 16-year-old volunteer
who has been volunteering at RASKC/Kirkland virtually every week since she was
12 years old, having contributed over 330 hours so far. Last month she
received an Honorable Mention in the teen category of the 2018 Washington
State Governor's Service Awards.
Julia is an exemplary role-model to both youth and adult
volunteers, as her outstanding commitment is reflected in her reliable and
skillful presence on her very busy shift. She has been absolutely superlative
in her dedication, reliability, and great work.
Julia’s
work contributed to the overall adoption of 565 homeless animals at the
Kirkland facility in 2017. This represents about 25% of all of RASKC’s
adoptions in 2017.
RASKC is tremendously grateful for Julia’s passion and energy
and love for animals. Please join us in congratulating
Julia for her amazing accomplishment!
