Proposed Department of Local Services updates

During his State of the County address King County Executive Dow Constantine spoke to the creation of a new Department of Local Services for King County Council consideration this summer.  The effort seeks to improve how the quarter million people who live in unincorporated King County are served. The new department will provide unincorporated areas with a focused point of accountability and a conduit to elevate ideas, needs, and concerns directly to the Executive and his Cabinet. See his address and read the transcript here. An extensive schedule of listening sessions at community meetings and the CSA Town Hall meetings are underway and more information can be found below on future dates. If you have comments, ideas, or suggestions for the proposed Department please send them to asklocalservices@kingcounty.gov.
