King County Road Services Division is seeking a Supervisor II to plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, evaluate and schedule the work of the crafts/trades crew which may include equipment operators, truck drivers, utility workers, carpenters, and vegetation specialists. This position also oversees crew chiefs and administrative staff.

The King County Road Services Division designs, builds, operates and maintains roads and bridges in unincorporated areas of King County. The division is committed to ensuring the county's transportation system is safe and efficient for all uses and modes of travel. The Division is responsible for 1,500 miles of road and 182 bridges, 5.7 million feet of drainage ditches, over 44,000 traffic control signs, 78 traffic signals, and 50 traffic cameras in unincorporated King County.
The Maintenance Section is responsible for providing road maintenance services to associated infrastructure within the unincorporated areas of King County and contract cities in order to maintain and preserve the current condition of roadways and facilities in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner to protect the public's investment and facilitate safe travel.

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a FLSA exempt position and is not overtime eligible. Work is most commonly performed during core business hours; 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. During the summer months, the schedule may shift to 10 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. However, work after hours, on weekends, and holidays is required depending on business and/or seasonal demand and during inclement weather.
WORK LOCATION: Various locations throughout King County, WA: The Maintenance Section main headquarters is located in Renton with outlying maintenance shops in: Auburn, Fall City, Redmond, Skykomish, and Vashon Island. Selected candidate(s) hired to work on Vashon Island must reside on Vashon or Maury Island at the time of appointment.
UNION MEMBERSHIP: Positions in this classification will be represented by the Professional and Technical Engineers (PTE), Local 17F.
